Commercial Intrusion Detection
Northeast Fire Systems designs, installs, and maintains commercial intrusion and burglar alarm systems. We combine perimeter and interior detection with central-station monitoring so a break-in is caught and answered, and we integrate the system with your video surveillance and access control.

Layered Intrusion Protection
A good intrusion system works in layers. Perimeter devices catch entry at the doors and windows, interior sensors catch anyone already inside, and monitoring turns a tripped sensor into an actual response. NEFS designs to cover the real weak points without flooding you with false alarms.

Intrusion System Design
We walk the building and map how someone would actually get in: which doors and windows are exposed, where the valuable or sensitive areas are, and which interior spaces are worth covering. The design targets those points instead of blanketing everything, which keeps the system effective and the false alarms down.
Perimeter & Interior Detection
Contacts on doors and windows report the moment one opens. Glass-break sensors listen for the sound of breaking glass. Motion detectors cover interior spaces so anyone who does get in is caught moving through the building. Used together, they give you a perimeter and a backstop.
Monitored Response
A sensor is only useful if someone acts on it. We connect the system to a central station that receives the alarm and, where set up, verifies it before police are dispatched and your contacts are called. Verification, whether a second signal or a video look-in, cuts down on false dispatches and the fines that follow them.
Video & Access Integration
Intrusion detection works better next to your other systems. Tie it to video and an alarm can pull up the camera covering that door. Tie it to access control and you can tell an authorized after-hours entry from a real break-in. We integrate the three so they work as one.
Testing & Maintenance
Sensors drift, batteries die, and buildings change. We test the system so it is actually armed and reporting, replace what wears out, and adjust coverage when you renovate. An unmaintained alarm can fail without warning, so we keep it tested and current.
Frequently Asked Questions about Intrusion Detection
It can, and usually should. We connect the system to a central station so a tripped sensor gets a real response instead of just sounding a local siren.
Mostly through design: the right sensors in the right places, tuned to the space. Alarm verification adds a layer by confirming an event before police are dispatched.
Yes. We integrate intrusion with video surveillance and access control so the three work as one system.
Our difference
What You Can Expect from NEFS
NEFS designs intrusion systems around a building’s real vulnerabilities and keeps them tested and maintained, so the coverage stays reliable over time.
Straight recommendations
We tell you what your building needs to meet code, and what it does not. We do not sell equipment you have no requirement for.
Manufacturer-trained technicians
Our technicians are manufacturer-trained on the systems we install and equipped to resolve most issues on the first visit.
One provider for the life of the system
From installation through annual testing, repair, and upgrades, NEFS stays your single point of contact for your intrusion detection system.
